Task & responsibilities

• Perform landscaping construction, paving, planting, turf installation and garden bed preparation.
• Read and implement landscape plans and coordinate daily tasks with the Site Supervisor.
• Excavate, trench and install drainage, irrigation systems, outdoor equipment and street furniture.
• Prepare soil, seed, lay turf, mulch gardens and maintain landscaped areas. 
• Operate landscaping tools, machinery and light plant equipment safely and efficiently. 
• Move materials, assist with site set-out and coordinate heavy item movements with team members. 
• Supervise and guide labourers, demonstrating leadership and safe work practices.
• Maintain company vehicles, machinery and equipment through routine inspections and cleaning.
• Keep worksites clean, safe and compliant with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements. 
• Report hazards, incidents and safety issues and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualification & experience

Essential Criteria

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent time keeping.
• Willingness to work outside in the tropical climate of Darwin.
• Good communication skills.
• Northern Territory Occupational Health and Safety construction card (White Card).
• work experience in the landscaping industry working as a landscaper.

Desired Criteria

• Horticulture Certificate II and above or 3 year experience in the landscaping industry working as a landscaper will substitute for formal qualification
• Full Clean MR Northern Territory driving licence.
• Portfolio of completed landscaping works.
