THE ROLE Power Quality Systems is seeking an experienced UPS Service Technician to join our team in Darwin. We specialise in power protection systems for critical applications and service clients across Defence, Mining & Resources, Government and IT. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing and repairing single-phase and three-phase UPS systems and battery systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, cleaning and diagnostic testing Troubleshoot electrical faults, component failures and alarm issues Install, connect and test UPS units, battery strings and maintenance bypass systems Work with VRLA, lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries Replace, test and safely dispose of batteries Read wiring schematics and single-line diagrams Complete detailed service reports, including test results, repairs and parts used Respond to emergency customer callouts when required Travel to customer sites and participate in on-call emergency rotations ABOUT YOU 2–5 years’ experience with UPS equipment, power distribution or related systems Certificate or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field Strong knowledge of electrical and low-voltage power systems Able to safely use multimeters, clamp meters and load banks Electrical Trade Licence highly regarded/required Relevant safety certifications highly regarded Valid Australian driver's licence Own reliable vehicle Computer literate Excellent communication skills Fit and healthy Willing to travel and work occasional irregular hours/on-call WHY JOIN POWER QUALITY SYSTEMS?
