Akua Auto's Pty Ltd t/a Akua Autos is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our automotive repair operation in Beckenham, WA. This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week with an annual salary of $82,000 plus superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle inspections and identify mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Perform computer-assisted diagnostic checks and testing to identify faults and assist with repairs.
• Remove, inspect and refit engines, transmissions, steering components and other mechanical assemblies.
• Service vehicles in accordance with required maintenance schedules, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tuning.
• Repair or replace defective, damaged or worn mechanical components.
• Reassemble engines and other vehicle systems following repair or replacement of components.
• Conduct operational testing and make necessary adjustments to ensure repaired components are functioning correctly.
• Use relevant technical and service information when carrying out repairs and maintenance.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Sound practical knowledge of light vehicle mechanical systems and repair procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
