Job Title: Locum General Practitioner  / Specialist GP (Women's Health Focus)
Speciality: General Practice / Primary Care / Women's Health & Sexual Health (Obstetrics & Gynaecology procedural skills highly regarded)

Location: Multiple Locations Across Australia (Metro, Regional, Rural, and Remote)

Job Type: Locum (Short-term blocks, multi-week coverage, and flexible ongoing rotations)

 

ABOUT THE ROLES

We are seeking experienced Locum General Practitioners with a focus or sub-specialty interest in Women's Health to support demand clinics and health services across Australia.

Due to strong patient preference and community needs, clinics frequently seek female or Women's Health-focused GPs for flexible blocks. Opportunities range from modern private practices in coastal hubs to multidisciplinary regional clinics, Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS), and rural facilities requiring GP Obstetrics.

 

CLINICAL FOCUS AREAS:

  • Preventive health screening (Cervical Screening Tests, breast check-ups)

  • Antenatal and postnatal care / shared care models

  • Family planning, contraception, and procedural care (e.g., Implanon insertion/removal, IUD/Mirena fittings)

  • Menopause management, hormonal health, and fertility advice

  • Sexual health consultations and youth healthcare

  • Optional: GP Obstetrics / DRANZCOG / CMed / VMO coverage for regional hospital support

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
General & Specialist registration with AHPRA (FRACGP / FACRRM or Equivalent)

Proven experience in Australian General Practice (Emergency Medicine / VMO capabilities like FARGP or JCCA are highly regarded for rural roles).
