AlphaFi is seeking a Developer Programmer to join its technical team in NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, testing and maintaining software applications and digital solutions, working closely with the technical team to translate business and technical requirements into reliable and scalable applications.The role will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including application development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation and ongoing enhancement of software solutions.

Task & responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions. 
• Design, develop and modify software applications in accordance with technical specifications. 
• Write, test, debug and maintain program code for web and mobile applications. 
• Develop and maintain application features, modules and backend functionality. 
• Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services into software applications. 
• Work with databases and data structures to support application functionality. 
• Test applications to identify and resolve programming errors, defects and performance issues. 
• Modify and enhance existing applications to improve functionality, reliability and performance. 
• Participate in the development and implementation of AI-enabled and automated digital solutions. 
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, programming documentation and operational procedures. 
• Conduct application testing and assist with deployment and implementation activities. 
• Monitor application performance and undertake ongoing maintenance and improvements. 
• Collaborate with other developers, designers and project team members throughout the development lifecycle. 
• Maintain software development standards, coding practices and version-control procedures. 
• Provide technical input into the design and development of new software products and features. 

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development or a related discipline. 
• Demonstrated experience in software/application development. 
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience developing web and/or mobile applications. 
• Knowledge of APIs, databases and software integration. 
• Understanding of software development, testing and debugging processes. 
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and develop practical software solutions. 
• Good understanding of software development methodologies and version-control practices. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team. 
• Experience with AI, automation or cloud-based technologies will be advantageous.
