Aluminium Cast House – Maintenance & Operations Manager Down Under Commodities Pty Ltd – Pakenham, VIC Full-Time | 7:30 am–3:30 pm | Immediate Start Pay: Award Rates / Negotiable based on experience We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Aluminium Cast House Maintenance & Operations Manager for our secondary aluminium billet facility in Pakenham. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day cast-house operations and production. * Oversee aluminium melting, billet casting, homogenising and cooling operations. * Manage preventative maintenance, breakdowns and equipment troubleshooting. * Lead, supervise and motivate production staff. * Train and develop staff in furnace, casting and safe operating procedures. * Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. * Minimise equipment downtime and support production targets. * Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement. About You * Experience in an aluminium cast house, smelter, foundry or similar environment. * Strong knowledge of aluminium melting, casting and furnace operations. * Good mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills. * Strong leadership, communication and staff-training abilities. * Hands-on approach with a strong commitment to workplace safety. * Relevant trade qualifications, forklift or crane licences are highly regarded.
