Duties:
- Curriculum Planning & Implementation
- Designing and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Observing, documenting, and assessing children’s development to plan meaningful and individualised learning goals.
Leadership & 2IC Responsibilities
- Supporting the Centre Director in daily operations and stepping into leadership duties when required.
- Contributing to maintaining regulatory and quality standards as per National Quality Framework (NQF) requirements.
Child Safety & Welfare
- Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Monitoring children’s wellbeing and responding appropriately to their emotional, social, and developmental needs.
Family & Community Engagement
- Building positive, respectful relationships with families and communicating regularly about their children’s progress.
- Supporting a collaborative, community-focused environment within the centre.
Operational Support
- Maintaining accurate records, completing required documentation, and contributing to centre organisation.
- Ensuring the learning environment is clean, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.

Qualification & experience
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Relevant experience working in an early childhood education and care setting.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with children, families and colleagues.
