About the role Turbo Tech Auto Care is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to join our workshop on a full-time basis. You will diagnose mechanical faults and carry out car servicing, maintenance and repairs, helping maintain efficient workshop operations and a high standard of customer service. We are looking for a motivated and reliable mechanic who can work independently and contribute effectively to a team in a busy workshop environment. Experience in passenger car diagnostics, engine repairs and vehicle electrical systems will be highly regarded. Familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle servicing and safety procedures would be an advantage. Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and workshop testing procedures • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of light vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications • Inspect, repair and replace vehicle components including brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, wheel bearings, clutches, cooling systems and related mechanical parts • Perform engine tune-ups and general mechanical repairs • Assist with routine servicing and diagnostic checks on hybrid and electric vehicles within the scope of training and authorisation, following manufacturer procedures and applicable high-voltage safety precautions • Carry out routine passenger car servicing, including engine oil and filter changes, fluid checks, and inspection of belts, hoses and cooling systems • Identify and troubleshoot vehicle handling, steering and suspension issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions • Carry out pre-delivery inspections and road testing of vehicles after repairs • Maintain accurate job records, service reports and workshop documentation • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes • Assist in maintaining workshop cleanliness, safety and compliance with workplace health and safety procedures • Support workshop operations and assist management in coordinating daily workflow and customer service outcomes Skills and Experience Required • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
