Occupational Therapist – Subcontractor

Location: Alice Springs, NT / Telehealth
Engagement: Independent Subcontractor
Hours: Flexible – approximately 15+ hours per week

About the Opportunity

WeKare Disability Support Group is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as an independent subcontractor.

Our main need is currently in Alice Springs, NT, however we are also open to Occupational Therapists who can provide services via telehealth.

We have existing and ongoing referrals and are looking for an Occupational Therapist who can support our NDIS participants with assessments, reports and ongoing occupational therapy services.

This opportunity would suit an independent Occupational Therapist looking to grow their caseload while maintaining flexibility over their working hours.

About the Role

As a subcontractor, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to participants referred by WeKare.

Your work may include:

• Functional Capacity Assessments

• Occupational therapy assessments

• NDIS reports and recommendations

• Assistive technology assessments and recommendations

• Home and living assessments

• Ongoing therapy and capacity-building supports

• Liaising with participants, families and other members of the care team

• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

What We're Looking For

The successful Occupational Therapist will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

• Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification

• ABN

• Appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Experience working with NDIS participants is preferred

• Strong assessment and report-writing skills

• Ability to manage their caseload independently

• Good communication and time-management skills
