A LA FOLIE PTY LTD (trading as Coogee Boathouse) is currently looking for a full-time Chef to join their team as soon as possible.

Tasks & responsibilities: 

• Preparing, cooking & presenting dishes in accordance with the restaurant's recipes, portion standards and presentation requirements
• Managing & organising the assigned section of the kitchen during service
• Ensuring all ingredients are prepared, stored and rotated correctly
• Coordinating with the Head Chef & other kitchen staff
• Monitoring food quality, consistency and presentation before dishes are served
• Assisting with stock control.

Skills: 

• At least 12 months of full-time relevant work experience if the applicant holds a relevant Diploma, or at least three years of full-time relevant work experience if they do not hold a relevant qualification
• Strong food preparation, cooking and plating skills
• Ability to manage a designated kitchen section independently 
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
• Good management and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
