Welder (First Class)

Pay: A$75,000.00-A$85,000.00 per year Job Description: Key Responsibilities -Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements -Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication -Cut metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame torches, and cutting machines -Review and verify raw materials, plates, pipes, and fittings -Perform site verification and spool erection inspections -Shape and bend metal using heating, hammering, or machine tools -Conduct preliminary inspections and support NDT inspection processes -Maintain weld quality as per ITP procedures and standards -Align and join parts using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques -Examine welds for bead quality, penetration, and accuracy -Finish welded products by cleaning, grinding, filing, and polishing Requirements -Relevant trade qualification in welding or fabrication -Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar welding/fabrication role -Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols -Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality standards -Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding (multi-process preferred) -Familiarity with inspection processes including NDT (advantageous) -Physically fit with strong attention to detail Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Salary packaging Work Location: In person
