Task & responsibilities

• Diagnosis of mechanical and electrical vehicle faults by using modern scanning and diagnostic equipment.

• Dismantling and removal of defective mechanical components including transmission, suspension and steering components.

• Repairing and replacing damaged and worn-out vehicleparts by rebuilding the defective mechanisms and systems in accordance with the manufacturer’s service manuals.

• Servicing and maintaining vehicles including servicing engines, changing oil, inspecting, and replacing various fluids and filters.

• Servicing, adjusting engines in order to ensure that they operate efficiently and effectively according to the local statutory standards.

• Reinstalling and assembling all the required mechanical parts including transmission and other vehicle systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

• Test-driving and adjusting vehicles in order to confirm that the repaired or replaced parts are working correctly and efficiently.

• Testing and scanning vehicle sensors and computer systems by using computer software.

• Checking vehicles for roadworthiness, noting down all the required repairs, and completing roadworthiness inspections and tests.

• Taking notes on all work performed and parts replaced and being able to interpret technical drawings and manuals to understand how the mechanisms and systems should work.

Qualification & experience

? Excellent diagnostic and resolution abilities to identify and solve the problems in the vehicle.

? Ability to work alone or in a team to deliver results within the set time frame.

? Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety, emissions and vehicle compliance issues.
