The hospital includes a mixed medical-surgical ward, operating theatre, maternity unit, emergency department and onsite medical imaging, providing variety and exposure to a broad range of patients and presentations. You will be supported by an onsite Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), with a supported orientation period to help you settle into the team and environment. What You Will Be Doing As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work as part of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction and delegation of the Registered Nurse, contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You will: Provide nursing care to patients within your scope of practice. Manage an allocated patient load under the direction of the RN. Undertake clinical observations, assessments and nursing interventions. Recognise and report changes in a patient's condition. Administer medications and undertake clinical procedures within your scope of practice and competency. Support patients and their families throughout their care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with RNs, medical staff and the broader multidisciplinary team. Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the ward and delivery of safe patient care. Participate in education, professional development and competency-based training. About You We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse who is ready to become part of a supportive, young and emerging team. Ideally, you will have: A minimum of 12 months' clinical nursing experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and team-focused approach. The ability to work confidently within your scope of practice and under RN direction. A willingness to learn, develop and undertake further training. A commitment to safe, person-centred care. The ability to adapt to a rural environment and work across different clinical areas as required. Experience and-or competency in venepuncture and cannulation is highly regarded. If you don't yet have these skills, we will support you to work towards achieving the relevant competencies. You will also need to be willing to work across other departments within Scone Hospital, or at nearby facilities, when required. Essential Requirements Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA. Demonstrated ability to provide safe, person-centred nursing care within scope of practice. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Willingness to work across different clinical areas and nearby facilities as required.
