We provide professional feline-focused veterinary services in a caring and supportive clinical environment. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team and provide high-quality medical and surgical care to our feline patients. Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive health examinations of cats and diagnose illnesses and injuries through physical examinations, laboratory testing, radiography, ultrasound and other diagnostic techniques. • Provide medical and surgical treatment for cats, including administering and prescribing medications, analgesics and anaesthetics, performing surgery, treating wounds and managing post-operative care. • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic feline health conditions, developing appropriate treatment plans based on each cat’s clinical needs. • Administer vaccinations and provide preventive healthcare to protect cats against infectious diseases and other common health conditions. • Advise cat owners on nutrition, feeding, hygiene, preventative healthcare, breeding and the ongoing care and wellbeing of their cats. • Monitor cats undergoing treatment or hospitalisation, assess their response to treatment and adjust care plans as required. • Perform post-mortem examinations where required to assist in determining the cause of death and identifying underlying or infectious conditions. • Maintain accurate clinical records, including examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications and follow-up recommendations. • Maintain professional knowledge of feline medicine and veterinary practices, including developments in areas such as feline internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, dentistry and critical care. Qualification • Tertiary qualification in Veterinary Science or Veterinary Medicine • Full veterinary registration in Australia or eligible for full registration Skills and Experience • Minimum 1 year experience in veterinary clinical practice, preferably with a strong focus on feline medicine. • Willing to undertake Feline Medicine Memberships. • Strong clinical examination, diagnostic and surgical skills. • Ability to safely administer medications, anaesthesia and veterinary treatments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options and care requirements to cat owners. • Compassionate approach to handling and treating cats, with a strong commitment to feline welfare. • Ability to work effectively as part of a professional veterinary team.
