Our manufacturing business is looking for a Procurement Lead on a full-time basis.

Your new company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Lead to join a growing organisation operating within a complex, project-driven environment. With an established supplier network already in place, the focus of this role will be on strengthening supplier performance, improving procurement processes and ensuring the procurement function can effectively support continued business growth.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Programme Management, you will take ownership of procurement and logistics activities while working closely with production, finance and operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and strengthen relationships across an established supplier network, with a focus on supplier performance rather than extensive new-market sourcing.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for materials, parts, goods and services.
  • Drive greater utilisation of the NetSuite Procurement module, improving procurement processes, data management and system capability.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against contractual, quality and business requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts, including variations, to achieve strong commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with production, finance and operations to ensure procurement activities align with operational and contractual requirements.
  • Support project delivery through effective bill of materials management.
  • Manage inventory requirements and demand forecasting in conjunction with relevant internal stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 5 years' experience across procurement and logistics in a commercially focused environment.
  • Strong experience within construction, manufacturing or large-scale retail, such as a national supermarket or similarly complex supply environment, or significant procurement exposure to these industries.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is essential, with the capability to maximise the use of its Procurement functionality and improve how the system supports a growing procurement operation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing established supplier relationships and improving supplier performance.
  • Experience in warehouse management and complex contracts covering materials, equipment and services.

What you'll get in return

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key procurement function within a growing organisation. Rather than being tasked with building a supplier network from scratch, you'll inherit an established supply base and have the opportunity to focus on supplier performance, procurement efficiencies and making better use of NetSuite to support future growth.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and have the opportunity to influence procurement processes, systems and continuous improvement initiatives as the organisation continues to develop.
