Join a high-performing local government team dedicated to community safety and regulatory excellence. This role is uniquely tailored for a detail-driven administrative professional with a solid background in local government compliance, statutory processes, and evidence management.
Unlike traditional field-heavy enforcement roles, this appointment prioritizes legislative interpretation, written investigation briefs, systematic documentation, and executive-level customer service delivery.
Core Accountabilities

End-to-End Case Administration: Manage complex customer requests, maintain accurate electronic document registries, and audit compliance files to ensure audit-readiness.

Regulatory Compliance & Enforcement: Apply local Council By-Laws, state legislation, and statutory procedures accurately and ethically.

Evidence Gathering & Investigation Briefs: Take formal statements, compile evidence, conduct thorough desk and field investigations, and prepare comprehensive briefs for senior management review.

Statutory Documentation: Draft, issue, and manage strict compliance timelines for Abatement Notices, Dog Control Orders, and formal warnings.

Community Advice & Mediation: Serve as a trusted advisor on community safety standards, resolving public inquiries with tact, clarity, and professionalism.

System & Policy Optimization: Identify operational efficiencies within existing SOPs and contribute administrative support toward overarching strategic management plans.
Skills & Requirements

Experience: Proven track record in local government regulatory support, administrative compliance, or statutory investigations.

Systems Proficiency: Expertise in land management databases, customer request management (CRM) software, EDMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Communication: Outstanding written clarity for statutory briefs and formal correspondence; refined verbal communication for mediation and advice.

Qualifications: Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or equivalent work experience.

Mandatory Prerequisites: Current Driver's Licence, Police Clearance, and Child Safe Environment (Mandated Notification) certification.
