AAA Education and Migration Consultant

Mountain Entertainment Group Pty Ltd T/A Raven’s Point is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food, maintaining food quality and presentation standards, assisting with menu planning and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, season and cook food in accordance with recipes, menu requirements and established standards.
• Prepare and cook a range of dishes for dine-in, takeaway and fast-food service.
• Assist with menu planning, food preparation methods and development of new dishes.
• Monitor the quality, freshness and presentation of ingredients and prepared food.
• Ensure food is prepared and served within required timeframes.
• Estimate food and labour requirements and assist with daily kitchen planning.
• Assist with ordering food supplies and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Inspect deliveries and ensure ingredients are stored appropriately.
• Monitor food costs, portion sizes and wastage to support efficient kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation and workplace safety.
• Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils and preparation areas are properly maintained and cleaned.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
• Train and assist junior kitchen staff where required.
• Maintain consistent food quality and presentation during busy service periods.
• Comply with applicable food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures.
• Assist with kitchen opening, closing and preparation procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
• Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen., Minimum 1 year
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety requirements.
• Ability to manage food preparation and cooking during busy service periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional kitchen team.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
