Health Consultant, Telehealth

Menova is seeking a full-time Health Consultant to conduct structured telephone and video consultations with patients seeking support through Menova’s telehealth services. The role combines patient consultation, health education and ongoing health-management support with responsibility for guiding suitable patients through Menova’s assessment and enrolment process.

The successful candidate will use relevant health knowledge to gather and assess patient information, explain evidence-based health and treatment information in accessible terms, support informed healthcare decisions and coordinate the patient journey with Menova’s clinical team. The position also requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work within a service-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured telephone and video consultations with prospective and existing patients, gathering relevant information about their health concerns, goals and circumstances.

• Educate patients about Menova’s health services and available treatment pathways relating to weight management, hormone health, mental wellbeing and sexual health.

• Explain health information and treatment processes clearly so that patients can make informed decisions about their care.

• Provide behavioural-change and health-management support appropriate to the patient’s goals and agreed treatment journey.

• Identify matters requiring clinical review and coordinate patients with Menova’s doctors, case managers and other healthcare professionals.

• Guide suitable patients through the assessment and enrolment process while maintaining a supportive and professional patient experience.

• Monitor patient progress, arrange appropriate follow-up and help maintain continuity throughout the treatment journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential consultation notes, patient records and follow-up information in accordance with Menova’s procedures.

• Collaborate with medical and case-management teams to support safe, consistent and coordinated patient care.

• Contribute relevant health and nutrition knowledge to patient education, service delivery and continuous improvement.

• Meet service and performance expectations while maintaining appropriate professional, ethical and patient-care standards.

About you

• Bachelor degree or higher qualification in nutrition, dietetics, health science, public health, allied health or another closely related health discipline.

• At least one year of relevant professional experience in health consultation, health promotion, nutrition, patient education, telehealth, behavioural-change support or a related health role.

• Sound understanding of health education, patient communication and evidence-based health information.

• Strong consultation, communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to communicate sensitive health information clearly, respectfully and professionally.

• Ability to maintain accurate records and work effectively with medical and case-management teams.

• Experience in men’s health, telehealth, wellness or consultative health services will be highly regarded.
