What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures
About You
You are a Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and accreditation requirements aligned with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). You demonstrate comprehensive nursing knowledge, clinical skills and professional expertise gained within acute hospital environments, enabling you to provide safe, effective and patient-focused care across a broad range of clinical situations.
You possess well-developed clinical assessment and problem-solving abilities, allowing you to make sound decisions and respond effectively to changing patient needs. Your commitment to delivering high-quality care is reflected in your ability to identify priorities, implement appropriate interventions and contribute to positive patient outcomes in both routine and complex clinical circumstances.
Your highly developed communication skills support effective collaboration with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. You are proficient in the use of information technology and demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, ensuring accurate documentation, clear information exchange and the delivery of coordinated care.
You have proven ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care within a multidisciplinary team environment, consistently focusing on evidence-based practice and outcome-driven care. Your professional approach enables you to work collaboratively with colleagues while maintaining a patient-centred focus that promotes safety, quality and continuity of care.
You bring a high level of clinical expertise within the perioperative environment, including experience managing trauma presentations and supporting patients through complex surgical pathways. Your advanced clinical skills, sound judgement and ability to remain calm under pressure contribute to the delivery of optimal care in fast-paced and demanding healthcare settings.
You are adaptable, reliable and committed to meeting service requirements, including participation in a seven-day rotating roster, public holiday shifts and on-call responsibilities. Your flexibility, resilience and dedication to professional excellence ensure you consistently provide high-quality care while supporting the operational needs of the health service.
