Clinical Nurse Specialist - Staff Health (526124L6) Department of Health Hospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals Nth Launceston General Hospital Applications must be submitted by Monday 05 October, 2026 11:55 PM Position details The Team Based at the Launceston General Hospital and working within the Infection Prevention and Control Unit, you will be joining a team of dynamic and dedicated nursing and administration professionals with a passion for caring for their colleagues and promoting communicable disease prevention and control. The Role Providing direct staff health services Employee assessments and immunisation Skin assessment for hand dermatitis associated with hand hygiene products Contact tracing and case management of affected individuals, and management of disease outbreaks. Occupational exposure counselling and management You will need (Up to 3 bullet points) Demonstrated advanced clinical competence and expertise in the delivery and coordination of clinical nursing practice, coupled with experience and specialist skills within the area of immunisation and Statement of Duties | PAGE 3 of 4 vaccination programs, occupational exposure management and skin health assessment for hand dermatitis associated with hand hygiene products Demonstrated highly developed educational-training skills, with the proven ability to influence, educate and direct the activities of others and implement change within the context of a multidisciplinary setting. Ability to apply advanced communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environment, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as the capacity to develop and maintain productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Details of appointment Permanent part time, day worker position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
