This position offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the strategic and operational leadership of acute mental health services across the District. About the Role This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of acute mental health services within one of Australia's leading health districts. You will join a progressive and supportive leadership team committed to innovation, excellence and improved outcomes for consumers, carers and staff. Two site-based positions are available: Professor Marie Bashir Centre, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Concord Centre for Mental Health, Concord Repatriation General Hospital The Nurse Manager Grade 3 will provide leadership, management and coordination of acute inpatient mental health services, ensuring safe, efficient, consumer-centred and trauma-informed care across SLHD Mental Health Services. Working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders, the successful applicant will oversee patient flow and bed management, support clinical decision-making regarding admissions and discharges, and ensure services meet NSW Ministry of Health and SLHD performance expectations. The role has responsibility for the effective operational management of the District's acute mental health wards and provides leadership to senior mental health nurses working across Emergency Departments. Recent management experience with experience in leading and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and-or work experience. Foster a culture of excellence, recovery-oriented practice and trauma-informed care. Drive service improvement initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and performance benchmarks. Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to deliver high-quality, contemporary mental health services.
