Task & responsibilities
- Lead and manage your designated section, ensuring the consistent delivery of premium, contemporary dishes
- Execute dishes with precision, maintaining exceptional quality, presentation, and portion control during service.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and senior team to uphold the restaurant’s culinary vision and operational excellence.
- Supervise and support junior team members within your section, fostering efficiency, communication, and professional growth.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and WH&S standards while ensuring a clean, organised, and high-performing workstation
Qualification & experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain professionalism during busy or challenging periods is important for a Chef de Partie and adhere to strict deadlines during service
- Communicate daily duties and report all problems and maintenance to the Sous Chef.
- Effective communication is essential for coordinating with other kitchen staff, relaying orders, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Support the back of house team to ensure a smooth operation of kitchen including being able to work across all sections of the kitchen.
- Manage and prepare ingredients for your section, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain freshness and quality.
- In the absence of a kitchen hand role or outsourced cleaner, dishwashing and cleaning duties may be required.
- Participate in teamwork and demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Supevisor and train junior team members
