Poultry Shed Cleaners Required near Greendale, NSW

We have an opening for the following roles based near Greendale NSW. 25 x Casual poultry processing workers to work across our client’s egg grading facilities and farms. Position Purpose: Responsible for the cleaning process of our poultry layer sheds which includes manure removal, wash and sanitation. Core duties and responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to. • Carry out all tasks associated with shed cleaning between flocks including: - Removal of residue, running of manure belts to remove bulk waste, Dry cleaning of the floors, walls, ceiling and equipment by blowing, sweeping and dusting. - Removal of litter and brushing off accumulated dirt, Washing of equipment, manure removal system, walls, fans, feed troughs, cooling systems and switchboards and control panels with disinfectant solution. - Sanitise the shed through aerosol, spraying of chemicals or fumigation - Effectively handle and dispose of waste generated from a shed clean - Provide shed operations records and documents as required - Safe operation of all machinery, plant and equipment - Maintain tidiness and order in the farm workplace - Report to Company representatives in the manner and timeframes as required - Comply with all Company policies and procedures in place as amended from time to time - Perform all other tasks as requested within your level skill, competence and training. Important: -Out of hours contact isn’t common but the employee might be contacted out of hours in response to a critical incident or outage and will be expected to answer or return communication. -This job requires travel and overnight stays (for up to 2 weeks at a time) Mandatory prerequisites • Honest, hardworking, reliable • Good communication skills • Capacity to maintain a co-operative work ethic • Have a flexible approach • Be self-motivated and a team player • Have an ability to prioritise workloads during busy periods • Have capacity to project beyond the immediate task • Effective time management Requirements: • Ability to work flexible rosters including weekends • No contact with chickens or pigs at home. • Full Australian work rights. • Physical capability to work in a demanding environment. Approximate commencement dates are early December 2026 and the contract lasts 6-9 months. The farms operate 24/7. You may be required to work any day of the week and at any hour of the day. You will receive a minimum of 120 hours per designated 4 week period worked. Your will receive $34.81 per hour plus penalties where applicable as per the Farm Pride Foods Limited Farms Enterprise Agreement 2014, Level 1. You must perform such additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time providing they are within your skills, training, education and experience. There will be potential to up skill and training is provided. You do not have to be an Australian citizen to apply for this work, but you will need to be on a valid working Visa. Upon arrival to site successful candidates must complete a Quarantine Declaration and agree to the biosecurity measures which include: -prohibited from ownership of any type of avian species (e.g. no poultry or birds of any type), or pigs. -prohibited from contact with other poultry, non-poultry bird species, and pigs.
