We Are Looking for People Who Possess: High work ethic and attention to detail. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company safety procedures. Good communication skills with the ability to follow direction. Excellent personal hygiene and the ability to follow all required hygienic practices in the workplace. The ability to perform duties standing for prolonged periods. The ability to work as an effective team member to produce high-quality results. Positions include Small Stock Slaughtering / Small stock Boning & Butchering (Ovine/Lamb) Processing small stock in preparation for boning, butchering, or slicing. Use of knives and specialized meat processing equipment. Breaking and De-boning portions and primal cuts to required specifications. Product and Carton Labelling Use of touch screen computer grading systems to Accessing and grading products into specific categories Generation and application of labels for identification and traceability Quality monitoring of products. General Labouring Tasks Performing a range of duties required in the daily production process. Packing and weighing of meat and meat products. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Preservation and classing of hides Q-Fever Requirement Due to the nature of work in a meat processing environment, all successful applicants must comply with our mandatory Q-fever risk management policy. Vaccination/Screening: All candidates must be either Q-fever vaccinated or undergo a Q-fever screening and, if necessary, vaccination. Compliance: Proof of immunity or completed vaccination is a mandatory condition of employment.
