[Annual Remmueration - $115,000 to $125,000 per annum + Superannuation]

Role Overview: This is a genuine hands-on trade role, not routine call-out work. You'll be installing, testing, connecting, commissioning and maintaining electrical equipment, wiring and control systems that keep major industrial and infrastructure sites running, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, fault-finding with proper test instruments, and getting switchboards and circuits right the first time. If you're a licensed electrician who wants your trade taken seriously and backed by real technical projects rather than repetitive domestic work, this role gives you that.

This role is based in Perth, with travel to project sites throughout Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, connect, commission, maintain and modify electrical equipment, wiring and control systems
  • Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams, codes and specifications to determine load requirements, sequence and methods of installation
  • Measure and lay out installation reference points
  • Select, cut, connect and install wire and cable to terminals and connectors
  • Use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
  • Repair and replace faulty wiring and defective parts
  • Position and install single and three-phase electrical switchboards
  • Connect electrical systems to power supply and test continuity of circuit
  • Comply with HSE policies and maintain high safety standards on all sites

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a licensed Electrician across industrial, commercial or infrastructure environments
  • Sound fault-finding and diagnostic skills using standard test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings

Essential Qualifications and Licensing

An equivalent formal qualification – similar to an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV, in the electrical trade OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification where applicable. Registration or licensing is required. The successful applicant must hold or be able to obtain before undertaking licensed electrical work, the electrical licence required in Western Australia.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on industrial or utility-scale sites
  • Previous experience working with utilities or power system operators
  • Exposure to diverse and technically challenging projects across Australia
