Our client is a well-established construction and glazing contractor delivering commercial projects across Far North Queensland. With a strong pipeline of work and continued business growth, they are seeking a motivated Glazing Installer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As a Glazing Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, repair and replacement of glass and aluminium products across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality finishes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship.
Your duties will include:
- Installing windows, doors, shopfronts and commercial glazing systems
- Measuring, cutting and fitting glass and aluminium products
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Assisting with site preparation and removal of existing glazing
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
- Working collaboratively with project managers, tradespeople and clients
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in glazing, aluminium fabrication, window installation or a similar trade
- Construction White Card
- Current Driving Licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing if required
Highly desirable
- Certificate III in Glass and Glazing
- Experience with commercial glazing projects
- EWP, Working at Heights or other relevant tickets
- Aluminium fabrication experience
