About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Company Manager to oversee and manage our day-to-day transport operations. This is a senior operational role responsible for fleet management, compliance, scheduling, and client coordination to ensure efficient and safe transport services. 

Key Responsibilities

• Organising the purchase, maintenance, and servicing of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel supplies. 
• Liaising with clients to determine transport requirements and providing advice on vehicle types, service arrangements, rates, and customer obligations, including resolving complaints. 
• Receiving and managing transport orders and bookings, and planning, coordinating, and implementing transportation schedules. 
• Ensuring goods are stored, handled, and transported in conditions that maintain their quality and integrity. 
• Arranging and overseeing the collection and delivery of vehicles and goods in line with operational requirements. 
• Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements, reports, and performance summaries. 
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

• Ensuring transport operations comply with occupational health and safety requirements and relevant transport regulations.

Skills and Experience Required 

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in transport, logistics, or fleet operations. 
• Strong understanding of transport compliance, vehicle maintenance, and scheduling. 
• Proven organisational and people-management skills. 
• Ability to manage operational reporting and business records. 
• Relevant qualification in transport, logistics, or supply chain management is desirable.
• Proficiency in fleet management tools and software.
