Residential Care Officer

Breakthrough Behaviour Transformations is seeking five dedicated and structured full time Residential Care Officers to join our team in Hope Island. In accordance with ANZSCO Code 411715, successful candidates will provide comprehensive care, supervision, and long-term welfare oversight for individuals residing in group housing and institutional care environments. Key Responsibilities: - Care & Supervision: Provide day-to-day care, safety monitoring, and supervision for children or individuals with disabilities within a residential group environment. - Program Implementation: Plan, develop, and implement social, recreational, and daily living programs designed to enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. - Needs Assessment: Interview residents, assess individual welfare needs, and coordinate with community service and health agencies to provide comprehensive support. - Routine Management: Assist residents with personal hygiene, medication administration, meal management, and everyday domestic routines. - Behavior Support & Reporting: Maintain facility standards and positive behavior plans, de-escalating issues appropriately while compiling accurate progress notes and incident reports. Essential Requirements: - Experience: Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in a closely related residential care or disability support setting. - Qualifications: Relevant AQF Level 5 Qualification (e.g., Diploma or higher in Community Services, Disability, Youth Work, or Individual Support). - Compliance Checks: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check (WWC), and valid First Aid & CPR certificates. - Core Skills: Strong emotional regulation, precise documentation skills, and excellent team collaboration. Salary offered is $75k to $85k
