Key Responsibilities

• Drive and manoeuvre heavy trucks and transport vehicles into appropriate positions to safely load and unload vehicles, machinery, equipment and other transported assets.
• Load and unload vehicles, machinery and other heavy assets using tilt trays, hydraulic lifting systems, winches and other appropriate loading and unloading equipment.
• Follow established safety procedures during all loading and unloading activities, ensuring vehicles and transported assets are handled safely and without unnecessary risk of damage.
• Carry out regular pre-start and operational inspections of trucks, including tyres, brakes, lights, fluid levels, securing equipment and other safety-related components, to confirm vehicles are safe and roadworthy before operation.
• Assess and estimate the weight and dimensions of transported vehicles, machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with applicable load limits and appropriate distribution of weight across the transport vehicle.
• Position, restrain and secure vehicles, machinery and other transported assets using appropriate straps, chains and securing equipment to prevent movement, loss or damage during transportation.
• Review and verify transport, collection and delivery documentation, inspect the condition of vehicles or assets at collection and obtain appropriate confirmation upon delivery to the designated customer, workshop, dealership or site.
• Transport vehicles, machinery, equipment and other bulky assets between collection and delivery locations across metropolitan and regional Western Australia while complying with road safety and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with dispatch personnel, customers and site representatives regarding collection requirements, access conditions, loading arrangements and delivery instructions to support safe and timely transport operations.

Qualification and Experience

• AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
• At least 1-3 years of experience required
