Deliver exceptional, person-centred care in a focused surgical setting Join the Day Only Surgery team at Mount Druitt Hospital Support patients and families through their surgical journey Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Registered Nurse Remuneration: $81,748.16 - $114,771.98 per annum Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considered for part time hours) Located in: Mt Druitt Hospital Where you'll be working Join the Day Only Surgery team at Mount Druitt Hospital, where you will contribute to a patient-focused environment supporting people through their surgical journey. You will work collaboratively with nurses, medical staff and the broader multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care. Be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical team Support patients and families in a busy day surgery environment Work in a setting focused on safe, high-quality patient outcomes Contribute to a positive and respectful patient experience Help patients navigate their care and discharge journey What you'll be doing As a Registered Nurse, you will provide individualised, evidence-based care that responds to each patient's needs while supporting positive health outcomes. You will use your clinical judgement to manage changing priorities and deliver care within your scope of practice. Deliver person-centred care to patients and their families or carers Assess changing patient needs and respond appropriately to clinical priorities Coordinate referrals and support patients throughout the discharge process Delegate and supervise care provided by ENs and AINs within their scope Communicate effectively with patients and advocate for their needs How to Apply Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Essential Criteria Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Selection Criteria Demonstrated recent nursing experience relevant to the position and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means,; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
