Salary: $130,190 - $136,010 p.a. (pro rata) plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits - RN-M3

Lyell McEwin Hospital is one of South Australia's busiest maternity services, and the midwives who shape its next generation of clinicians matter enormously. What You'll Be Doing
Sitting within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), this short-term contract position (through to 28 April 2028) supports the education and professional development of midwifery staff across the Lyell McEwin Health Service. Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, delivering and evaluating midwifery education programs aligned with contemporary evidence and NALHN clinical standards
Supporting the orientation, preceptorship and ongoing competency development of midwifery staff
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to identify learning needs and translate them into practical education solutions
Contributing to quality improvement initiatives that strengthen safe maternity care outcomes
What You'll Bring
Substantial clinical midwifery experience across a range of maternity settings
Demonstrated ability to facilitate adult learning in a clinical environment
Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks, credentialling processes, and safety and quality standards
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse clinical workforce
Relevant post-registration qualifications in midwifery, education, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Lyell McEwin Hospital-the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital-a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services-adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services-provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services-including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
