We take pride in maintaining high standards in the preparation and presentation of our products while continuing to serve our local customers with quality, consistency and care. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Baker with over 3 years of relevant work experience working in similar roles. The Key duties and responsibilities of the Baker will include the following: • Preparing and producing a range of bakery products, including bread, rolls, pies, sausage rolls, pastries, cakes, biscuits and other baked goods. • Measuring, weighing and mixing flour, yeast, sugar, fats, liquids and other ingredients accurately according to established recipes and production requirements. • Preparing, kneading, fermenting, resting, cutting, moulding, shaping and portioning dough and pastry products. • Preparing fillings for meat pies, sausage rolls, pastries and other savoury bakery products. • Preparing and assembling pastry products, including traditional and gourmet meat pies and sausage rolls. • Operating and monitoring commercial ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, moulders, proofers and other bakery equipment. • Setting and monitoring oven temperatures, baking times and production conditions to ensure products are baked consistently and to the required standard. • Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bakery products. • Inspecting baked products for quality, consistency, appearance, texture, colour and presentation, and making appropriate adjustments to baking times or production processes where required. • Preparing, glazing, icing and decorating cakes, pastries, buns and other bakery products as required. • Ensuring products are prepared in accordance with the bakery's recipes, specifications and quality standards. • Maintaining consistent product quality and presentation across daily production runs. • Monitoring stock levels of ingredients and notifying management when ingredients or packaging materials need to be replenished. • Properly storing ingredients and finished products in accordance with food safety and storage requirements. • Ensuring all food preparation areas, machinery, utensils, trays, tins and work surfaces are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition. • Cleaning, greasing and maintaining baking trays, tins, ovens, mixers and other bakery equipment after production. • Following workplace health and safety procedures and using bakery equipment safely and appropriately. • Complying with applicable food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. • Minimising food waste by accurately measuring ingredients, controlling production quantities and properly handling surplus products. • Assisting with the planning and organisation of daily production schedules to ensure sufficient quantities of products are available for sale. • Working efficiently as part of a bakery production team and coordinating with other bakery staff to meet daily production requirements. • Assisting with the development and preparation of new bakery products and flavours where required. • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe bakery production environment throughout each shift. • Performing other reasonable baking, food preparation and bakery production duties as directed by management. Skills and Personal Requirements • Strong knowledge of commercial baking techniques, including mixing, kneading, proofing, shaping and baking. • Ability to accurately measure and weigh ingredients in accordance with established recipes and production requirements. • Skilled in preparing a variety of bakery products, including bread, rolls, pies, sausage rolls, pastries, cakes and other baked goods. • Demonstrated ability to prepare and work with different types of dough and pastry. • Reliable, punctual and dependable. • Hardworking and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship. • Takes pride in producing high-quality bakery products. • Detail-oriented and attentive to consistency, presentation and product quality. • Organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively during busy production periods. • Calm and able to work effectively under pressure and within strict production timeframes. • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a productive workplace. • Team-oriented and able to work cooperatively with other bakery staff. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Willing to learn new recipes, techniques, equipment and production methods. Salary: $80,000pa + superannuation Working hours: approx 38 hours per week Location: Riverton WA 6148
