Full-Time Clerk (General)
SALARY: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus Superannuation

Yura Yungi Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation (YYMS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled health service providing holistic primary health care services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Halls Creek and surrounding communities.

Position Summary:
Provide administrative, coordination and client support services to assist the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) team in delivering accessible, culturally appropriate and effective services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. The role supports referrals, client appointments, record management, stakeholder liaison and program administration.
Duty Statement and Key Responsibilities:
1. Administration & Office Support
• Answer phones, greet clients, and manage general enquiries in a respectful manner.
• Manage appointments, calendars, and meeting coordination.
• Maintain accurate client files (electronic and hard copy).
• Data entry and case note support in MMEX (as directed).
• Prepare basic correspondence, reports, and documents.
• File management, scanning, and record archiving.
2. Referral, Care Coordination & Program Support
• Receive and process referrals in line with SEWB procedures.
• Assist with care coordination activities to support client access to appropriate services.
• Liaise with community-based service agencies (government and non-government) on behalf of clients and their families to support Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as required.
• Maintain appropriate records and provide relevant written and verbal reports.
• Assist in health promotion activities to increase awareness and understanding of SEWB and its benefits.
• Support group programs (e.g. attendance lists, forms, resources).
• Assist with transport coordination and scheduling.
3. Community Engagement & Partnerships
• Build and strengthen partnerships at a local level.
• Establish and maintain links with organisations providing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the region.
• Identify and communicate barriers impacting Aboriginal people’s access to culturally safe Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) support and services.
4. Confidentiality & Compliance
• Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Follow organisational policies, procedures, and cultural protocols.
• Support accurate reporting for funding and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated administration or office support experience.
• Good organisational, record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
• National Police clearances.
• Current WA Working with Children.
• Experience working in health, community, or Aboriginal services.
• Familiarity with SEWB or community programs Experience with client management systems (MMEX or similar).
• Current “C” class drivers license.
• Current Working Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative Acts that impact on the organisation and the subsequent accountabilities.
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are highly encouraged to apply.
• Fully COVID vaccinated.
