Your new company
Hays is currently partnering with a range of reputable organisations seeking experienced Accounts and Bookkeeping professionals to provide temporary support during periods of growth, leave cover and project-based work. These opportunities offer the chance to utilise your finance expertise while gaining exposure to a variety of industries and business environments.
Your new role
As a Temporary Accounts & Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance function and ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions. This is a hands-on role suited to an adaptable professional who can quickly integrate into a team and add value from day one.
Your duties may include:
- End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
- Accounts Receivable, invoicing and debt collection
- Bank, credit card and account reconciliations
- General bookkeeping and ledger maintenance
- Payroll processing and support
- Journal entries and month-end assistance
- Managing supplier and customer enquiries
- Data entry and financial record management
- Assisting with reporting and finance administration
- Supporting finance teams during peak periods and staff absences
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for these opportunities, you will possess:
- Previous experience within bookkeeping, accounts or finance support roles
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- The ability to quickly adapt to new systems and environments
