Your new role
- Develop, audit and govern the site's reserve database for excavation and dumps
- Develop, integrate and govern technical mine planning outputs between the principal and major contractor
- Manage technical deliverables and integration of contractor planning outputs
- Run short to medium-term mine planning and scheduling scenarios
- Optimise haulage strategies for advancing strips
- Develop and maintain scheduling cost models to support margin ranking and option analysis
- Identify and mitigate planning risks to minimise production disruption
- Ensure short-term mine plans align with the long-term mining strategy
- Collaborate closely with site operations, technical teams and corporate long-term planning functions
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, Civil or an equivalent qualification
- Strong capability using Spry and Deswik CAD
- Demonstrated experience within large open-pit mining operations
- Strong understanding of the key value drivers within large-scale mining operations
- Experience in mine scheduling, reserves and technical mine planning
- A strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and process optimisation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across operational and technical teams
- Experience working with mining contractors from a technical perspective will be highly regarded
