Responsibilities for this position are:

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine carpentry requirements.

• Setting out and measuring work areas, checking dimensions, levels and alignment.

• Measuring, marking, cutting and assembling timber and other construction materials.

• Constructing, erecting and dismantling formwork for concrete footings, slabs, pathways and associated sports facility infrastructure.

• Installing and securing formwork, bracing and supports, ensuring accuracy and stability before concrete placement.

• Constructing and installing timber framing, edging and associated structures as specified in project plans.

• Inspecting, repairing and replacing timber components and existing carpentry structures.

• Preparing material quantities and coordinating carpentry work with supervisors and other trades.

• Checking completed work against drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

• Safely operating hand and power tools and maintaining tools and equipment.

• Following workplace health and safety procedures, using appropriate PPE and maintaining a safe and organised worksite.

Requirements:

• AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent recognised trade qualification.

• At least one year of relevant hands-on carpentry experience.

• Experience in formwork and the ability to interpret construction drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a construction team.

• Good communication skills and a commitment to safe working practices.

• Construction White Card.

• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
