ICT Business Analyst

Bluebox Solutions is an IT consultancy based in Osborne Park, working with clients across healthcare, mining and resources, government, and not-for-profit sectors.

We are looking for an ICT Business Analyst with hands-on SharePoint Online experience to join our consulting team.

You’ll work directly with clients to understand how they operate, clarify what they need from their systems, and help shape practical SharePoint-based solutions that support their day-to-day business activities.

Hands-on SharePoint Online experience is essential. Applicants without practical SharePoint Online experience are unlikely to be progressed.

About the role

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with clients, understanding how businesses operate and turning business needs into practical technology solutions.

You’ll be involved across the project lifecycle, from early client discussions and solution planning through to configuration, testing, implementation, training and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients and users to understand their current processes, challenges, priorities and project needs.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to gather information and clarify how clients currently work and what they want to achieve.
• Contribute to project planning by assisting with cost estimation, effort assessment, prioritisation, and evaluating the impact of changes on agreed project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Review existing workflows and identify practical opportunities to simplify or improve day-to-day business activities.
• Prepare clear project documentation, including requirements, process maps, mock-ups, configuration notes and agreed solution details.
• Work closely with project managers, developers and other team members to shape solutions that meet client needs and project objectives.
• Turn approved client requirements into practical SharePoint configurations and tailored solutions, working with the wider delivery team where development is required.
• Review completed functionality, coordinate client testing and assist with addressing issues or feedback before implementation.
• Keep project teams informed when client needs, priorities or agreed requirements change and help assess the impact on delivery.
• Provide practical advice to clients on SharePoint, document management and effective ways of managing information and business processes.
• Maintain a clear understanding of agreed client needs throughout delivery and assist both clients and technical teams when clarification is required.
• Help client teams adopt new solutions through walkthroughs, practical guidance, handover materials and training sessions.
• Investigate post-implementation issues, document findings and work with relevant team members to provide appropriate solutions and ongoing improvements.

Skills and experience

Ideally, you will have:

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on SharePoint Online experience, including site configuration.
• Experience working with clients or users to understand and document business needs.
• Experience reviewing workflows and preparing process maps or similar project documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
• The ability to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working as part of a project delivery or consulting team.
• Exposure to system testing, client acceptance testing and implementation activities.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining clear and accurate project documentation.

Experience in Document Control, Records Management, document management systems or consulting environments would be highly regarded.
