MN Courier is seeking a dependable Truck Driver to transport freight and goods for its courier, freight and transportation operations. Based at Boronia Heights, you will complete assigned collection and delivery runs, operate the allocated heavy vehicle safely, protect freight in transit and provide courteous service to customers. You will work with dispatch and other team members to meet delivery schedules, report delays or vehicle issues, and maintain accurate records.
The role suits a safety-focused driver who can manage day-to-day transport tasks independently while communicating promptly with the operations team. Duties will be carried out in accordance with applicable road transport, work health and safety, fatigue management, load restraint and chain of responsibility requirements.

Task & responsibilities
- Drive and manoeuvre the allocated heavy truck to collect, transport and deliver goods to designated locations.
- Coordinate with dispatch, other drivers and customers about run instructions, delivery schedules, access requirements and delays.
- Position the vehicle safely for loading and unloading; assist with or undertake loading and unloading using available equipment where required and authorised.
- Check that freight is in acceptable condition, correctly stowed, distributed within vehicle and axle limits, and secured or covered to prevent movement, loss or damage.
- Follow safe loading and unloading procedures, site rules, personal protective equipment requirements and relevant fatigue management practices.
- Complete pre-start and regular vehicle safety checks; report defects, damage, maintenance needs or roadworthiness concerns promptly.
- Keep required trip, delivery and vehicle records; check consignment or delivery documents and obtain proof or confirmation of delivery.
- Maintain professional customer service during collections and deliveries and escalate delivery issues or customer concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Keep the vehicle and work area orderly and comply with applicable traffic, heavy vehicle, workplace health and safety and transport requirements.
Qualification & experience
- AQF Certificate II or III, or equivalent relevant training and experience, consistent with ANZSCO Skill Level 4.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant truck-driving experience may substitute for the formal qualification, where applicable under ANZSCO.
- Current and appropriate Australian heavy-vehicle licence for the truck operated.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Knowledge of heavy-vehicle road rules, fatigue management, load restraint and safe driving practices.
- Experience with loading, unloading, securing and transporting freight is highly regarded.
- Ability to conduct vehicle pre-start inspections and identify/report defects.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Good communication, reliability, time management and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional conduct while completing deliveries.
- Ability and willingness to work a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required by operational needs.
- Registration or licensing is required for the relevant heavy vehicle.
