Solidbase Projects Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painting Trades Worker to work across our client’s construction projects, including residential homes, commercial buildings and public spaces across Sydney. This is a full-time opportunity to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team and contribute to a variety of construction projects. ### Requirements Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience: - Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent relevant qualification - At least 2 years of proven experience as a Painting Trades Worker - Strong knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, materials and finishes - Ability to apply paint, varnish and coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment - Ability to mix and match colours to achieve required shades and finishes - Strong attention to detail and precision - Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry painting equipment, ladders and materials - Good communication and teamwork skills - Excellent problem-solving abilities - Commitment to workplace health and safety requirements ### Key Responsibilities - Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and priming before painting - Apply paint, varnish, stains and other coatings using brushes, rollers and spray guns - Mix and match paint colours to achieve the required shades and finishes - Maintain, clean and store painting tools, equipment and materials correctly - Lift and carry paint containers, ladders and other equipment safely - Carry out precise painting and detailed finish work to a high standard - Inspect completed work to ensure paint is applied evenly and surfaces are free from defects or imperfections - Complete finishing touches to enhance the overall appearance and quality of painted surfaces - Use masks, gloves and other protective equipment to minimise exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials - Ensure proper ventilation and safe handling of paints, solvents and other materials - Follow workplace health and safety regulations and relevant industry standards - Clean equipment and work areas after completion of painting tasks ### How to Apply If you would like to discuss the role further, please click **Apply** and submit your most up-to-date CV.
