Job Title: Contracts Administrator
Location: Chatswood, NSW
Work Type: Full-time
Salary: $140,000 - $155,000 + Superannuation
About the Role
Our client is a well-established developer and builder seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracts Administrator to join their team based in Chatswood.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in project and contracts management, programme and cost control, and comprehensive cost reporting across residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, internal development teams, and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Tender Management: Prepare invitation-to-tender documentation, trade scopes of work, evaluate quotations, negotiate with subcontractors, and prepare subcontract agreements.

Commercial & Cost Management: Establish and manage construction budgets, control project costs, manage variation and EOT registers, and process progress claims and payment approvals.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and value engineering solutions in collaboration with consultants.

Contract Administration: Set up and administer Head Contracts and Subcontracts, oversee security of payment processes, and manage final accounts.

Project Support: Assist with pre-completion activities, secure required certificates, maintain drawing/document registers, and attend Project Control Group (PCG) meetings.

Utilise Jobpac software to maintain accurate cost controls, financial tracking, and commercial reporting.

Partner closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and Site Teams to mitigate project risk and ensure profitability.
Key Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator within the high-rise construction sector is strictly essential.

Systems: Hands-on experience with Jobpac is required.

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related field.

Skills: Strong commercial acumen, sharp negotiation tactics, and outstanding stakeholder management capabilities.
