SENIOR BROADACRE CROP AND LIVESTOCK FARM WORKER Company: Hill Farming Pty Ltd Location: Brukerloo Farms, Western Australia Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $70,000 - $85 ,000 per annum About Hill Farming Pty Ltd Hill Farming Pty Ltd is an established agricultural business operating broadacre farming activities in Western Australia. We are seeking an experienced Senior Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Worker to join our team at Brukerloo Farms. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and supervising broadacre crop production, overseeing seasonal farming operations, operating and maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment, and supervising farm workers to ensure productivity and the timely completion of farming activities. Key Duties and Responsibilities Manage and supervise the planting, seeding, cultivation and harvesting of broadacre crops. Undertake crop production activities involving cereals, pulses, oilseeds and oaten hay where required. Monitor crop growth and condition and identify issues affecting crop production. Ensure seasonal farming activities are completed within critical weather and operational timeframes. Operate agricultural machinery and equipment used in broadacre farming operations. Operate tractors, harvesters, boomsprayers, loaders and other agricultural machinery as required. Operate MC vehicles and other farm vehicles as required for agricultural operations. Undertake broadacre herbicide and other agricultural chemical applications. Apply and supervise the safe use of pesticides, fertilisers and other agricultural chemicals in accordance with relevant requirements. Conduct machinery inspections and pre-start checks. Undertake routine maintenance and identify mechanical faults with agricultural machinery and equipment. Supervise and undertake the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment. Supervise and manage the inspection and maintenance of farm infrastructure, including fencing, water supply systems and grain storage facilities. Prepare machinery, equipment and implements for seeding and harvesting operations. Organise, supervise and train farm workers in crop operations, machinery use and safe work practices. Supervise work routines and day-to-day production activities. Allocate work tasks and monitor the progress of farm workers. Maintain accurate records of farm inputs, crop yields, staff operations, chemical applications and maintenance activities. Assist with general farm operations and agricultural activities as required. Maintain and tidy work areas, machinery areas and farm facilities. Communicate effectively with management, employees, temporary staff, suppliers and other relevant parties. Ensure all farm activities are undertaken in line with workplace health and safety requirements. Identify and report hazards, equipment faults and other operational issues. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management Essential Qualifications and Licences AQF Certificate III in Agriculture (Crop Production) or equivalent. Minimum 3 years' full-time experience in broadacre cropping. Demonstrated ability to operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment. Demonstrated experience in broadacre crop production and seasonal farming operations. Skills and experience in chemical application and safe handling of agricultural inputs. Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience. Good time management and record-keeping abilities. Current MC Driver's Licence or relevant heavy vehicle licence appropriate to the duties. Skills and Experience The successful applicant will have: Previous experience in a broadacre agricultural environment. Strong knowledge of broadacre crop production and seasonal farming activities. Experience with planting, seeding, cultivation and harvesting. Experience operating agricultural machinery and mobile plant. Experience operating tractors, harvesters, boomsprayers, loaders and other farm equipment. Experience with herbicide, pesticide and fertiliser application. Experience undertaking machinery maintenance and identifying mechanical faults. Strong crop monitoring knowledge and an understanding of seasonal weather conditions.
