Purpose of the role

This role is the engine room of the Dubbo site: turning customer enquiries into accurate quotes, keeping customers followed up, and helping get orders out the door. It is a genuine all-rounder position; part office, part warehouse, part road. The successful person will start in a support capacity and, with training and mentoring from the GM, grow into a sales role with broad responsibility across the East Coast.

  • Prepare accurate quotations for stockyards, ramps, gates, crushes and related equipment
  • Produce simple yard layout drawings to support quotes (full training provided)
  • Read and interpret customer requirements and product specifications
  • Follow up enquiries and open quotes by phone and email, and convert them into orders
  • Build strong relationships with farmers, rural stores and resellers
  • Maintain customer records, quotes and orders accurately in our systems

  • Assist with receiving stock, loading and unloading, and general yard duties
  • Support inventory accuracy and keep the site clean, safe and organised
  • Help set up and improve processes as the Dubbo site grows

Field and travel

  • Attend multi-day agricultural field days with the GM several times a year, including setting up and packing down displays
  • Travel across the East Coast visiting rural stores and resellers

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Attention to Detail: Excellent precision to ensure complex quotes and customer orders are right the first time.
