Programmed is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sand Blaster to join our client's operations in Wingfield. This is a casual position offering ongoing work for the right candidate within a fast-paced industrial environment. About the role:
As a Sand Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing metal and industrial surfaces for painting and coating by operating abrasive blasting equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What you will be doing:
- Operate sandblasting hoses, nozzles, and grit-blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces.
- Inspect, set up, and maintain blast pots, compressors, hoses, and related equipment.
- Ensure surfaces meet required quality standards and specifications prior to painting or coating.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct general housekeeping and maintain a clean work area.
- Manage abrasive materials and clear equipment blockages when required.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in sandblasting, abrasive blasting, industrial painting preparation, or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Ability to safely operate blasting equipment and tools.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
