Salary: $80-90K per annum

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling and finishing cabinets, wardrobes and related cabinetry products in accordance with drawings, specifications and required quality standards. The role involves working with timber, melamine, MDF, particleboard and other cabinetry materials, as well as using woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools.

Task & responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, plans, specifications and work orders.
  • Measure, mark, cut and shape timber, melamine, MDF, particleboard and other materials.
  • Manufacture and assemble cabinets, wardrobes, shelving and other cabinetry components.
  • Operate woodworking machinery and use hand and power tools.
  • Assemble cabinet carcasses, doors, drawers, shelves and other components.
  • Fit hinges, handles, runners, locks and other cabinetry hardware.
  • Install and adjust cabinetry components to ensure proper fit, alignment and operation.
  • Prepare and finish cabinetry surfaces as required.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and rectify defects, inaccuracies and fitting issues.
  • Maintain tools, machinery and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet production requirements and deadlines.

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum Certificate III in Cabinet Making, Cabinetry or a relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a closely related cabinetry role.
  • Practical experience in cabinet, wardrobe or cabinetry manufacturing.
  • Ability to measure, cut and assemble cabinetry components accurately.
  • Experience using woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of cabinetry materials, fittings and hardware.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
