Join the BHAC Fisheries team and learn practical fisheries skills while working on the job. You’ll help prepare boats, fishing gear and equipment, assist with fishing and crabbing, handle and store the catch, clean boats and work areas, and work safely as part of the fisheries crew. Training and support will help you build your skills towards becoming a Fisheries Deckhand. You need to be reliable, willing to learn, follow instructions and work safely around boats, water and outdoors. No fisheries qualification is required. You will need a Police Check and Ochre Card and be willing to complete relevant workplace training. The role may include early starts, weekends and changing hours depending on tides and weather.
