New Heights Plumbing is seeking an experienced and reliable Plumber to join our growing team. The successful applicant will undertake a broad range of plumbing installation, maintenance and repair work across residential and/or commercial projects.

Task & responsibilities

•    Install, maintain and repair water supply, drainage, sewerage and sanitary plumbing systems.

•    Read and interpret plans, specifications and technical drawings to determine plumbing layouts and requirements.

•    Install and connect pipes, fixtures, fittings, valves, pumps and associated plumbing equipment.

•    Diagnose plumbing faults, leaks, blockages and system failures and carry out appropriate repairs.

•    Measure, cut, thread, bend and join pipes using appropriate tools, equipment and techniques.

•    Install and maintain hot water systems and related plumbing components.

•    Test plumbing systems for leaks, pressure, performance and compliance.

•    Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of plumbing systems.

•    Perform renovations, upgrades and replacement of plumbing fixtures and systems.

•    Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant Australian Standards, building regulations and plumbing codes.

•    Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with clients, supervisors and other trades.

•    Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.

•    Follow WHS requirements, safe work procedures and company policies at all times.

Qualification & experience

The successful applicant will ideally have:

•    Relevant plumbing trade qualifications.

•    Previous experience working as a Plumber.

•    Strong knowledge of plumbing installation, maintenance and fault diagnosis.

•    Ability to read plans, specifications and technical drawings.

•    Experience working independently and as part of a team.

•    Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

•    Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

•    Current Australian driver’s licence.

•    Relevant plumbing registration/licence or eligibility to obtain the required licence.

•    Construction White Card.

•    Good communication and customer service skills.
