Leading Consultancy Seeking an Experienced Client-Side Project Manager

Renowned for delivering complex projects across property, infrastructure and major capital works programs, this organisation partners with government and industry clients to provide end-to-end project advisory and delivery services. With a strong pipeline of Defence infrastructure and data centre projects, you will be joining a collaborative and high-performing team supporting the successful delivery of some of Australia's most critical and technically complex projects.
Your new role
As a client-side Project Manager, you will act as the key interface between clients, consultants and contractors, leading the successful delivery of Defence infrastructure and data centre projects. Working across multiple concurrent projects, you will build strong stakeholder relationships, provide strategic project advice and drive outcomes that align with client objectives.
You will be responsible for managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risks and reporting, whilst overseeing consultants and contractors throughout the construction delivery phase. The role will also involve reviewing project plans and specifications, identifying opportunities to optimise project outcomes, managing safety and environmental requirements, and proactively resolving project challenges as they arise.
Success in this role will rely on your ability to manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will regularly chair project and site meetings, manage client expectations and contribute to the successful delivery of complex capital works projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- Project Management experience within Defence, infrastructure, construction or capital works environments.
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
- A background in architecture, engineering or a relevant trade discipline, with proven client-side project management experience. As some of these projects have progressed beyond detailed design and into construction delivery, candidates with strong post-tender management and contract administration experience will also be highly regarded.
- Strong post-tender contract administration and construction management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trusted client relationships.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working within structured governance frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft skills are essential and Primavera skills will be highly regarded.
- NV1 Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months.
