Task & responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Subway store, ensuring efficient service, achievement of sales targets and compliance with company standards.
• Develop and implement sales, merchandising and promotional strategies to increase store revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor stock levels, inventory records, food and packaging supplies, pricing and product availability to ensure uninterrupted store operations.
• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate ordering, purchasing and timely replenishment of food, beverage and packaging supplies.
• Recruit, train, supervise and roster staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and that employees follow operational, customer service and company procedures.
• Monitor daily sales, budgets, expenses, labour costs and other financial records to assess store performance and maintain profitability.
• Manage customer enquiries, feedback and complaints, resolving issues professionally while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and Subway operational procedures.
• Monitor food preparation, service standards and store presentation to ensure products are consistently prepared and served in accordance with required standards.
• Review store operations and performance and implement improvements to workflow, staff productivity, customer service, stock control and overall profitability.
• Coordinate opening and closing procedures, cash handling and reconciliation, and ensure appropriate security and loss-prevention procedures are followed.
• Analyse sales and operational performance and provide recommendations to improve business efficiency, customer retention and revenue growth.

Qualification & experience

• Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Retail Management, Business or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant retail management experience 
• Demonstrated experience managing retail operations, sales targets and customer service
• Experience in staff supervision, training, rostering and performance management
• Experience with stock control, purchasing, merchandising and inventory management
• Knowledge of budgeting, financial records, reporting and retail systems
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities
