Allied Health Team Leader - Outpatient Rehabilitation (520056) Department of Health Hospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals Nth Hospitals North - Allied Health North Applications must be submitted by Sunday 18 October, 2026 11:55 PM Position details The Outpatient Rehabilitation Service Outpatient Rehabilitation (OPR) is a multidisciplinary allied health outpatient service for patients residing in the THS-North returning home to the community following an inpatient hospital admission. The service is based at the Launceston General Hospital. The Outpatient Rehabilitation team includes Allied Health Assistants, Dietetics, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology. OPR aims to provide goal-directed, time limited rehabilitation for patients with physical, psychological, emotional or cognitive difficulties and deficits arising from their recent medical event. The caseload includes patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, deconditioning and other conditions requiring rehabilitation after a hospital admission. The Role The Allied Health Team Leader- Outpatient Rehabilitation provides clinical leadership and oversees best practice multidisciplinary rehabilitation. This is an opportunity to step into a key clinical leadership role and shape the future of the Outpatient Rehabilitation service at Launceston General Hospital. The role combines hands-on expert clinical practice with leadership, service development, education, and innovation across the service. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient outcomes, supporting staff development, and driving excellence in care delivery. Details of appointment Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 January 2028. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary $131,122 to $143,063 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance withAllied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2025 Salary Packaging You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Allowances Please note that access to salaries beyond $135,445 is subject to qualifications and-or application to the personal upgrade scheme In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1200 per annum, paid on a fortnightly, pro rata basis.
