Telecommunications Technician

The Company: Oz Home Building provides skilled field service technicians for the installation and maintenance of fast broadband services across Australia. The Role: As our Telecommunications Technician you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining telecommunications equipment, including cabling, modems, routers, antennas, and NBN systems. Responsibilities: • Conduct testing, diagnostics, and fault-finding on voice, data, and internet services to ensure service quality and performance. • Perform on-site service calls to residential and commercial clients for new installations, upgrades, or troubleshooting. • Terminate and test copper and fibre optic cables using industry-standard tools and equipment. • Read and interpret technical diagrams, network schematics, and customer service orders. • Liaise with clients to identify service needs, explain technical issues, and provide professional support. • Complete documentation, including job sheets, installation records, and fault reports. • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, telecommunications regulations, and client specifications. • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party service providers to resolve escalated technical issues. • Stay updated with emerging telecommunications technologies and industry best practices Skills & Attributes: • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience • Relevant qualification • High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills • Management Skills • Analytical Thinking • Technical Skills • Project Management To join this diverse business offering the opportunity to develop and progress your career alongside like-minded people in a supportive environment, just click on the APPLY button below.
